When it comes to telling your brand’s story, images are everything. An outstanding visual representation of you and your passion allows people to connect with both and is a significant factor in driving sales.

A brand photo shoot produces images that evoke emotion, inspire action, and show viewers what you and your small business are all about. We’re not talking run-of-the-mill corporate headshots here. These pictures are carefully crafted to communicate distinct messages.

What Makes a Brand Photo Shoot Unique?

Unlike a lifestyle photo shoot, a brand photo shoot is all about marketing. It will give you an array of images to use across various platforms, and the photos tell a consistent story in a manner that helps you gain more clients.

In-depth planning is at the heart of the process. Locations, color palette, lighting, cropping, posing, outfits, props, camera angles, where you plan to use the photos, and more are all considered and laid out in advance. This is because every detail must be uniform with your brand and intention. Though some elements may seem insignificant, unintended messages or emotions can come through when attention isn’t placed on them—something no one wants!

What Can I Expect?

I get it! You might think, “I’ve got enough going on with running my business. I can’t wrap my head around conceptualizing such a photo shoot.” What’s great about experienced Atlanta brand photographers, like myself, is that we are experts in analyzing all the previously mentioned factors. It’s what we do every time we coordinate, set up, and carry out a business-minded photo shoot. Meaning, when you work with one of us, we offer invaluable guidance, suggestions, and insight.

Sure, you could do your own brand photo shoot, but managing everything from background selection to lighting and editing is easier said than done. Think about how much time you put into taking your most recent selfie or family photo. It probably took a few tries to get it right. Now, imagine doing that for your business repeatedly, all to have a final product of questionable quality.

The CatMax Photography Personal Branding Experience

Because I understand the marketing needs of creative entrepreneurs and small business owners, I developed my version of a brand photo shoot called The Personal Branding Experience.

The highly collaborative package begins with me taking the time to get to know you, your profession, and your goals through a consultation call. You’ll then complete a comprehensive questionnaire and build a custom Pinterest board to help define your brand and narrow in on your vision for the shoot. We’ll also have strategy and planning conversations to solidify every detail.

From there, I will curate a half-day experience that captures the essence of your business. To see that in action, check out the behind-the-scenes video below from a recent shoot I did for graphic designer Melanie Hernquist of Lucky + Lovely.
